When you think of Arc System Works you think of fighting games, beautiful and complicated fighting games, but every now and then they throw out something a bit left-field, and Boost Beast is one of those games

Pitched as a puzzle fighter, it doesn't look unlike Puzzle Fighter (or Zoo Keeper if you ant the better game). It's actually more of a defence game, a genre we've not seen a lot of over the last few years.

Not unlike something like Puzzle Quest, you match blocks to trigger attacks, or in this case warriors (dogs by the look of it) to face off against the on-rushing hordes.

It probably makes more sense if you watch the trailer below. It's out now on the Nintendo Switch store, whatever it's called, priced at 8.99, and it's something I might pick up myself when I get my Switch tomorrow

Rabi-Ribi looks like a stressful as hell, it does look kind of adorable and pretty good though, so who knows, maybe I'll pick it up. And if I do maybe I'll pick up the physical version, as PQube are putting an actual boxed copy of Rabi-Ribi out

Available on PS4 and PS Vita, although it looks like the Vita version is missing out on the physical release, understandably.

Rabi-Ribi will hit stores and PSN in Europe on September 1st

There was a bit of a furore when The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ was released in the US for Switch but the European release was pushed back. There is now a confirmed release date, and while it's not exactly imminent it does come with some bonus news.

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will get a physical and digital European release on the Nintendo Switch September 7th

The physical release of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ matches the US release, with a retro game manual, the game, and 2 sticker sheets. It also promises some bonus trinkets, but doesn't go into detail as to what they are

I have incredibly fond memories of playing Micro Machines 2 on the Megadrive, using 4 pads thanks to the two extra ports on the game cartridge itself, and playing 8 player races thanks to the pad sharing mechanic. I'm of a generation that is watching Micro Machines World Series with impossibly high expectations

It's with some relief then that Codemasters have released a trailer for the upcoming Micro Machines World Series, and it's actually looking pretty good

Race and Elimination modes are back, as well as a 12 player battle mode and online modes, and nicely, 4 player local split screen. Micro Machines World Tour is set to release in June on PC, PS4 and Xbox One

The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is coming to the Nintendo Switch in the fairly imminent future, and Nicalis have announced that they're teaming up with Headup games for a physical release

There's no firm date as to when we'll see The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ on store shelves, but we do know that it will be in Quarter 2 and priced at around 39.99 (depressingly that's probably a straight translation to 39.99 :( )

We took a look at Slime-San the other week, and was quite impressed with it. Well good news, it's out now on Steam

Priced at 8.99 (8.09 for launch) Slime-San is a challenging, rapid-fire platformer, not unlike Super Meat Boy and N+. It's not ordinarily my genre but I was quite impressed by Slime-San when I played it

While it's only on PC at the minute, Slime-San will be heading to consoles later this year. It's also part of this months Humble Monthly Bundle, but I think that information is a bit late.

March has been a busy month already, but if you're after some over-the-top action racing, with stunts and, well, nonsense, keep a space for FlatOut 4: Total Insanity, because it's looking pretty good

Set to release on Playstation 4 and Xbone One on March 17th, FlatOut 4: Total Insanity looks like it's going to capture the spirit of the old games and return the franchise to form. Hopefully anyway.

There's a trailer below that shows off a few of the modes
