PQube have announced that they're bringing Fight of Gods to Steam, and while very little has been shown yet, the reason I'm posting about it is because of what it's not, being instead a Western looking 2D-fighter

Not that I've anything against Japanese, or faux-Japanese style 2D fighters, on the contrary I love them. In fact I'm struggling to think of a Western 2D or 3D fighter that would trouble my top 10 fighting games (or top 20 for that matter), but it is nice to see someone try something different.

Fight of Gods features the likes of Odin and Zeus battling it out, we're probably not going to see Allah v Jesus so don't get your hopes up, but the likes of Shin Megami Tensei have shown that gods do tend to have characteristics that lend themselves to being extrapolated for a game.

There's a trailer below, and Fight of Gods is due in the summer on Steam

2Dark, the new top-down survival horror from Frédérick Raynal, the creator of Alone in the Dark, is out fairly soon and is looking pretty good

Gloomywood have put out a video where they talk about their hopes for the game, why they wanted to make it. Most interesting is the promise of being able to tell adult stories. Survival horror can be a bit schlocky, so something more grounded and horrible certainly has its place

Like I said, 2Dark has started to look pretty promising, in a polygon-heavy retro kind of a way, give the video a look for what I think is a fairly interesting look at the game

I think a few people will have fond memories of Flatout from the Xbox 360 era, so the news that FlatOut 4 (or Fl4tOut) is on the way should raise a smile

PQube are bringing FlatOut 4 to the PS4 and Xbox One in March, and the trailer below makes it look pretty promising I have to say

Flatout 4 promises, amongst other things, multiple Arena modes (death match, capture the flag, and survivor), a weapon based assault mode, a stunt mode, an 8 player online (plus local multiplayer, although this doesn't sound like it includes racing)

PQube and Big Ben Interactive are bringing Frédérick Raynal's, creator of Alone in the Dark, new game 2Dark to PS4, PC, and the Xbox One in 2017

The trailer below is great, it slightly miss-sells the game as 2Dark is actually an isometric horror puzzle game. Still though, hell of a pedigree and it could be very interesting

PQube have announced that the world wide release of Vita game Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkhuni- has been delayed by 2 weeks to September 30 in Europe and October 11 in North America.

Valkyrie Drive Bhikkhuni has been delayed for "technical reasons", which is hard to get mad at, you'd much rather the game come out working and at its best than come out 2 weeks earlier.

PQube have revealed the release date for Milestone's latest motorbike-fest Ride 2, releasing on the 7th October

There was a huge amount of custimisation in the original Ride and it looks like Milestone are building on that for Ride 2. I'm sure we'll have more on it nearer the time, but until then we've got a trailer below

I really enjoyed Blazblue Chronophantasma Extend so it's good to hear that PQube are bringing the sequel, BlazBlue Central Fiction, to Europe this year

Pencilled in for Q4 2016 BlazBlue Central Fiction will come to Europe on the PS4, and impressively, the PS3. I've no idea how well the PS3 versions of games sell nowadays, but it's cool to see games still coming out for it.

BlazBlue Central Fiction boasts a few extras and improvements over its predecessor, including a couple of new game modes (Speed Star Mode and Alliance Mode), the option of a simplified control scheme, and a 40+ hour story mode

There's a trailer below where you'll get to see a few snippets of some of the new stages

I think Duane might well have a review copy of this, but MotoGP16: Valentino Rossi is out now on the PS4 and Xbox One

PQube say that MotoGP16: Valentino Rossi boasts more content than any previous MotoGP game, including a host of different event types.

There's a trailer below, and a review will be forthcoming

As title really, PQube have confirmed that they'll be bringing visual novel, Root Letter (or √Letter) to Europe and the Americas later this year. Including a physical release, Root Letter will be available on the PS4 and Playstation Vita

Root Letter tells the story of a missing girl, your old school friend who disappeared. You receive a letter from her 15 years late where she confesses to a murder, and you've got to piece together the truth

It's certainly an interesting idea for a mystery story, and there's a hunger out there for visual novels. There's also a trailer below
