Spiritual successor or semi-sequel, who knows really, but Gematsu have revealed that El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron creators are working on a follow up called The Lost Child

Plot Wise it's about a journalist who discovers the ability to recruit demons to fight other demons, so it's very much got a Shin Megami Tensei vibe, but nicely Lucifel / Lucifer from El Shaddai is back

Aside from that, it's coming to PS4 and Playstation Vita, is apparently about 90% done, and is being published by Kadokawa

I have incredibly fond memories of playing Micro Machines 2 on the Megadrive, using 4 pads thanks to the two extra ports on the game cartridge itself, and playing 8 player races thanks to the pad sharing mechanic. I'm of a generation that is watching Micro Machines World Series with impossibly high expectations

It's with some relief then that Codemasters have released a trailer for the upcoming Micro Machines World Series, and it's actually looking pretty good

Race and Elimination modes are back, as well as a 12 player battle mode and online modes, and nicely, 4 player local split screen. Micro Machines World Tour is set to release in June on PC, PS4 and Xbox One

I'm sure you're aware, but Sega have been teasing some Bayonetta news over the past week. The more optimistic amongst us have been hoping it will be the announcement of Bayonetta 3, unfortunately not (but never say never). Instead the more conservative theory that it was a port of the original game to PC turned out to be the big Bayonetta news

Not that I'm sniffing at that, prior to the WiiU getting a port of the original Bayonetta I'd have leapt at the idea of a steam port, particularly one priced at the Bulletstorm-antithesis price of 14.99

Bayonetta is on Steam right now, and boasts 60fps, up to 4K resolution, Japanese and English voice tracks, and some more advanced graphical options like improved anti-aliasing and SSAO lighting

Mantis Burn Racing is a game I really quite enjoyed, and one that is also a pretty decent way to make use of your Playstation 4 Pro and 4K television, should you have them.

Well, should you need an excuse to dust off your game, Mantis Burn Racing now has 2 new pieces of DLC.

The first DLC to talk about is Snowbound Pack DLC. The Snowbound Pack if free, and while it only includes 1 new location, because of the way the game only uses parts of locations as tracks, you're actually looking at 4 new tracks. Plus VooFoo Studios are also throwing in seasons 2 and 3 of the Veteran career mode (another 34 events) for you to play with, should you have got to the point where you ran out of content in Mantis Burn Racing (seriously, that career mode is pretty long)

There's also some paid dlc, the Elite Class dlc, priced at 1.99, brings lightning fast hover-cars to mantis Burn racing, so 3 new vehicles, plus a 12 event Elite career, so again, not bad if you're looking to get back in to the game.

The trailer for the Snowbound Pack is posted below

PQube have announced that they're bringing Fight of Gods to Steam, and while very little has been shown yet, the reason I'm posting about it is because of what it's not, being instead a Western looking 2D-fighter

Not that I've anything against Japanese, or faux-Japanese style 2D fighters, on the contrary I love them. In fact I'm struggling to think of a Western 2D or 3D fighter that would trouble my top 10 fighting games (or top 20 for that matter), but it is nice to see someone try something different.

Fight of Gods features the likes of Odin and Zeus battling it out, we're probably not going to see Allah v Jesus so don't get your hopes up, but the likes of Shin Megami Tensei have shown that gods do tend to have characteristics that lend themselves to being extrapolated for a game.

There's a trailer below, and Fight of Gods is due in the summer on Steam

I'm a little surprised there hasn't been a Wonder Girl before if I'm honest, it seems like something that would have been added along the way. Anyway, DotEmu have addressed the lack of female character in Wonder Boy by letting you play as Wonder Girl

Wonder Girl will be playable in the new HD Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, plus also the retro inspired version. There's a trailer below that shows her, and Monster Boy, in action

March has been a busy month already, but if you're after some over-the-top action racing, with stunts and, well, nonsense, keep a space for FlatOut 4: Total Insanity, because it's looking pretty good

Set to release on Playstation 4 and Xbone One on March 17th, FlatOut 4: Total Insanity looks like it's going to capture the spirit of the old games and return the franchise to form. Hopefully anyway.

There's a trailer below that shows off a few of the modes

Arc System Works, famed developers/publishers of such fighting game stalwarts as Guilty Gear and BlazBlue are bringing over a new fighting game to the west; Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe

Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe is coming soon, March 15th, and is set to be available on Steam and PSN for Playstation 4

Developed by FK Digital, Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe boasts an online mode, as well as the usual story and versus modes. It's priced at $19.99, so probably about 16?

Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe looks pretty good, there's a trailer below
