Falcom classic Ys Origin is out now for the PS4. It's been out a while on other platforms (Steam, Vita), and perhaps that's why Ys Origin is launching a little cheaper than you might expect, but it's available today on PS4 with a free theme if you buy it off the store until 5th March

Priced at £15.99 Ys Origin is regarded as one of the better Ys games, and it might yet your appetite for the sequel coming later this year (more on that later)

Probably the last time we'll post about Trulon: The Shadow Engine, but ahead of its imminent Xbox One launch, publisher Headup games have announced that the game is available for preorder with a 20% discount

I've mentioned before that I quite liked Trulon: The Shadow Engine when I played it on PC, so you could do worse, with the usual price being £15.99 ($19.99), and the reduced price at (a guess because it's not up on the UK store yet) £12.79.

Trulon: The Shadow Engine release on Xbox One this week, on the 24th February, and there's a trailer below

We've reviewed a few Astro Port releases over the years. They specialise in bringing Japanese doujin shoot em ups to the west, and Zengeki Warp is no different

I can't say I know much about Zengeki Warp but we'll be taking a look at it over the weekend. Zengeki Warp is pretty cheap, £4.79 (€5.99), and I've invariably had a good time with the Astro Port games. There's a trailer below, plus a few screen shots

I don't think there's much I can say about Torment: Tides of Numenera, I can say we'll be covering the game more fully once it's released at the end of the month, and it's a very much, in the tradition of its predecessor, a story driven game.

As such there's a story trailer released from Techland and InExile, all set for when Torment: Tides of Numenera releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on the 28th February

I think a few people will have fond memories of Flatout from the Xbox 360 era, so the news that FlatOut 4 (or Fl4tOut) is on the way should raise a smile

PQube are bringing FlatOut 4 to the PS4 and Xbox One in March, and the trailer below makes it look pretty promising I have to say

Flatout 4 promises, amongst other things, multiple Arena modes (death match, capture the flag, and survivor), a weapon based assault mode, a stunt mode, an 8 player online (plus local multiplayer, although this doesn't sound like it includes racing)

Fancy a very retro Rougue-like rpg? Well Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic looks to have you covered

Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic is billed as being very funny, so it might be worth keeping an eye out for. There's a trailer below, but Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic will release on Xbox One on the 3rd of February priced at $9.99 / €9,99 / £7.99

PQube and Big Ben Interactive are bringing Frédérick Raynal's, creator of Alone in the Dark, new game 2Dark to PS4, PC, and the Xbox One in 2017

The trailer below is great, it slightly miss-sells the game as 2Dark is actually an isometric horror puzzle game. Still though, hell of a pedigree and it could be very interesting

Quick turnaround this. Only announced a week or so, Arc System Works have announced that Double Dragon IV will arrive on PS4 and Steam this month

We're looking at a US release on the 29th of January on PSN, and the 30th January for PC. I've asked if those dates will be the same for Europe, as I think Japan gets Double Dragon IV a couple of days later, I'll let you know

If you're wondering why you should care, Double Dragon IV takes it's cue from the old NES games, looking slightly better admittedly, and boasts a dev team that includes key members from the original games

I'm still not 100% sure exactly what World of Final Fantasy is, which is probably why a demo is a good idea

On the 17th of October we'll get a demo of World of Final Fantasy on the Playstation Store for PS Vita and PS4

There's a trailer below for the opening cinematics and the game itself launches on the 28th October

I can't say I've seen much of Manual Samuel until now but it does look pretty funny.

You control Samuel, doing everything for him. So brushing his teeth, drinking his coffee, walking up the stairs, you have control over all of it. Think less Heavy rain and more QWOP

Manual Samuel is out now on the PS4 (for £6.49), and on the 14th October for the PC and Xbox One. Nicely, or infuriatingly, it's got a co-op mode so 2 people can take control of Samuel's body
