Whoops, been a bit too long since the last update, but then in some ways I've not played enough to warrant posting.
I did finish Asura's Wrath over the weekend, it's decent, but my fondness for it waned as I got closer to the end. It's not that the gameplay becomes worse, you're still just doing the same brawling, blasting and QTEing as the rest of the game, it's more that what you're seeing becomes less interesting.
For me the craziness of the first hour or so isn't really topped, and of course having to redo the final level to get the 'proper' ending isn't the best taste to leave in your mouth.
At the start of chapter 3 I was all set to buy the DLC, but now I'm not so sure. I didn't like the way Prince of Persia hid the proper ending away as dlc, and Asura's Wrath is doing the same thing, and as I'd begun to enjoy the game less I'm not sure it's something I want to reward Capcom on. I also had issues with the frame rate and screen tear, and while it generally wasn't game breaking, there were points where it affected the QTEs more than it really should
What else have I played... I picked up Transformers: War for Cybertron from steam cheap the other day. It's not a very good pc port, for one it doesn't really push the hardware beyond what the consoles are capable of, and all the prompts are for keyboard & mouse despite me using a 360 pad to play the game (there's a few other things but they aren't worth complaining about).
The biggest problem the game has is that it's become apparent over the past few years that I don't like Transformers, certainly not as much as everyone else does, and that's fine, each to their own and all that. But when the game is just walking down oversized corridors shooting things before you run out of ammo, it's hard to get excited at the prospect of playing more
